Outside Resource Notification Form 2023-2024

An “outside resource” includes but is not limited to the following: an award from a high school, private club, agency, corporation, or organization; a tuition benefit from parent’s or student’s employer; a vocational rehabilitation grant; an outside award for a non-summer study abroad program, etc. Financial assistance from outside resources may affect your eligibility for financial aid. To remain in compliance with federal regulations, state requirements and institutional policy, your eligibility for financial aid may be reevaluated upon notification of any outside scholarships, benefits, and/or financial resources. Next Steps

All Outside Resource payments should be mailed directly to the Financial Aid Office, 209 Ridge Rd. PO Box 5000, Davidson, NC 28035. Before mailing the payment, please be sure to include any award letter/instructions and to put your Student ID# on all checks.

If the total of your outside resources exceeds the limit noted on our website, where our outside resources policy is described, please consider completing a Cost of Attendance Adjustment Form (once it's available on our Financial Aid Forms page), in case there are additional costs that can be covered with your outside resources, to reduce any potential adjustment that might need to be made to your institutional aid.

If Davidson needs to verify your enrollment in order for you to receive the funds, please send the enrollment verification request to the Registrar’s Office at registrar@davidson.edu or via fax (704-894-2732). Enrollment will be verified by the Registrar’s Office after the first day of classes.

If Davidson needs to bill the outside agency in order for you to receive the funds, please send the request to the Controller's Office at studentaccounts@davidson.edu along with appropriate written instructions, including the name and address of the agency, and to whose attention the invoice should be sent.
